Craighall Scout Group

The easiest way to become a member is to join us on a Friday night programme. Please come by to the hall and experience first hand what our programme entails.

We prefer that our new members visit us for about four weeks to get a good feel of what our programme is about and how things work.  After this, one of our scouters will come and visit you, the family.  This visit, typically no longer than 1 hour, is the ideal opportunity for you the parent to get to know the scouters and to ask questions about the programme.  

We will use this time to explain some of the terminology, the fee structures, the Scout movement's mission as well as the curriculum.

After this visit, and once we have received the application forms, your son will take part in an Investiture ceremony.  At this ceremony he will publicly make the cub or scout promise and receive his badges and Craighall scarf (parents are encouraged to attend the investiture and take pictures of this momentous occassion.)

You will be invoiced for all fees by our bookeeper.  All deposits are to made directly into the Craighall bank account.  Under no circumstances should fees be given to any of the scouters.
